Control partner and Support access

Last modified: Monday October 06, 2025.

Alta Video Support and their partners use Deployment Management Portal (DMP) to set up and maintain your deployments.

As an Alta Video administrator, you retain full control over whether Avigilon Alta or your Ava sales partners have access to your Alta Video deployment and cameras.

External user permissions

If you give an external user access to your deployment, you assign them to a user group that determines their user permissions and length of access.

Check if external users can access a deployment

  1. Open Tools Tools > Video view Users.
  2. Check if the Co-manage access status is Denied or Granted.

Turn external access on or off

  1. Open Tools Tools > Video view Users.
  2. Click co manage access button Co-manage access.
  3. Change the settings for the deployment PARTNER or Alta Video SUPPORT as required.
    1. You can check who is registered as the Associated partner. If you have any questions about giving the listed partner access to your deployment, contact Alta Video Support.
  4. Turn Access on or off.
  5. Select the Alta Video user group assigned to users when they enter the deployment.
    1. The assigned group sets the user's permissions. If required, create new groups and assign them specific permissions. See Create User groups
  6. If required, you can grant external users Limited time access.
  7. Click Done.

Deployment access logs

Alta Video captures all user logins to the deployment, whether that is directly, or via DMP. However, only explicit logouts are recorded in the audit logs. If a user closes the browser window used to connect to Alta Video, it is not recorded.
